The LEED Gold certified Carriage House Children’s Center/Wightman Building, home to early learning, care, and preschool education, charts a path forward for sustainability in design and actively engages students in the process of caring for the natural world. The renovation project incorporated replacing the building’s heating and cooling systems, with particular attention to lighting, water, waste management, green cleaning methods and other sustainable strategies to ensure a healthy, quality space for children and faculty.
