Renovation of 1896 building dedicated to early learning, children and families achieves LEED Gold, demonstrating commitment to excellence in design and purpose.

Project Description

The LEED Gold certified Carriage House Children’s Center/Wightman Building, home to early learning, care, and preschool education, charts a path forward for sustainability in design and actively engages students in the process of caring for the natural world. The renovation project incorporated replacing the building’s heating and cooling systems, with particular attention to lighting, water, waste management, green cleaning methods and other sustainable strategies to ensure a healthy, quality space for children and faculty.
